Privacy Policy

[Draft for counsel review.] This policy explains what [legal entity name] (“5th Row”) collects about you, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• When you join the waitlist: your name, email, birthday, where you live, what you do, the membership you chose, and when you agreed to our terms.
• Payment: your card is held by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store the full card number; we keep the card brand and last four digits.
• As a member: your reservations, your +1’s name (and email if you give it), attendance, and Code of Conduct records.
• What you tell us you like: genres, directors and actors you follow, your portrait choice, and your answers to the day-after survey.
• Ask 5th Row: the questions you ask the in-app assistant and its answers.
• Your device: a push-notification token if you allow notifications, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service running.

Why we use it

To review your application, charge you when you’re accepted and at renewal, run your reservations, get you in the door, send you messages about your membership, recommend invites you’re likely to enjoy, and keep the Code of Conduct fair for everyone.

Who we share it with

Hosts. To get you in, we share your name, and your +1’s name, with the studio or host of each event you reserve, plus your email and phone number if they ask (Terms, section 10).

Service providers who process data for us: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Amazon Web Services and Neon (hosting and database), Anthropic (the Ask 5th Row assistant), and Apple, Google and Expo (push notifications). They may only use it to provide their service to us.

We don’t sell your personal information.

Emails

Membership and reservation messages are part of the service. The two monthly roundups are optional; unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any of them.

How long we keep it

While you’re a member, and after that only as long as we need to for accounting, tax and legal reasons. If you leave the waitlist, we delete your saved card.

Your choices

You can see and change most of your details in the app. You can delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete account); we close it straight away and remove your personal data within 90 days, except what we must keep by law. Age

5th Row is for people 21 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
